Pull up a chair and introduce yourself. We're glad you're here.

I'm not much on grand entrances, but Ed encouraged me to introduce myself on here, so here goes:

I'm a young pastor at a small-town church in Gatesville, TX. I graduated from Truett seminary in 2010. My wife is an elementary school teacher, and we are expecting our first child, Emily Grace, next week. I've enjoyed reading all of your posts. Thanks for letting me share mine! If you'd like to read more, I try to keep a blog updated at

Matt, we are glad to have you involved with us. Blessings in your first pastorate. I look forward to reading what you will bring out of your perspectives to our discussions. Prayers for you and your wife as you await the blessing of a child.
