Sorry for the earlier somewhat facetious response.
I thought it was pretty cute; no need to apologize.

The convention passed a resolution, now almost infamously known as Resolution #9 during the Birmingham convention last summer. The SBC is (honestly IMHO) wrestling with this issue and if I read the perspectives correctly, the "old guard" is resistant to change. Opposition to the adoption of the resolution is claiming that because the individuals who developed Critical Race theory and Intersectionality didn't do it from a "Biblical worldview," it's not valid as information for the SBC.
As long as we're clear that the Bible says pi is equal to three...
It's hard to find an unbiased news story in Baptist media outlets but this one is a little bit reasonable.

I'll be curious to see where this summer's convention goes with this. It's an "old guard" perspective and one of the things they point to as a demonstration of the liberalism that is creeping back into their conservative denomination.

Nancy Ammerman tweaks the Resistance to Russ Moore in NEW BC

Postby Stephen Fox » Wed Mar 11, 2020 5:26 pm

Ironically Russ Moore would never have had the Platform he now holds without the backing of Pressler in the Takeover in conjunction with the Eagle Forum of Schlafly and Pressler and Paige zealots including Helms and Ed Mcateer in the Council for National Policy. Whatever Sandy thinks he understands about Bill Moyers Moyers was clear about the CNP.

Nancy did well here, but when it counted 30 years ago I thought Ellen Rosenberg told the truth more starkly than Nancy.
