Biennial discussions

Ed: This years Biennial is titled Summit by the Sea, a major feature will be the Sunday afternoon "Baptist Talk Conversations".

Topics for this years conversations, small groups are gathered around tables of 8 to9, to discuss a designated topic, This years topics listed in the program that we received when the mail caught up with us last week are as follow: Church mergers, Satellites, and Shared Ministries; Cross generational ministries; Discipling Alternatives to Sunday school; Faith and Politics; Overcoming Barriers to Women Serving Local Congregations; Racism; Selling the Building but Maintaining the Congregation; Systematic Solutions to Poverty; and Systematic Solutions to Violence;

Each table will have a group leader whos primary tasks will be to keep the discussion on topic and to assure that each person has an opportunity to speak. Any one of these topics could make for an interesting discussion here on BL.C .

It is always interesting to observe which topics garner the most interest I am curious as to what subject(s) folk here would select from the choices listed.

Wish I could make it. I don't know that I've ever been to Virginia Beach. And those do sound like good small-group discussion topics.
