From Gerry Milligan ... with apologies to Leland Bryant Ross; AKA Haruo ... If the approval of the 2 trillion stimulus bill was a bipartisan effort, why were no Democrats invited to the signing?

I actually hadn't noticed that. But nothing Trump does is neutral, or bipartisan, or whatever. He's all about getting reelected. And in spite of (or perhaps in concert with) his occasional suggestions that the virus and/or its countermeasures are aimed against him personally, it looks like the whole event is working to his advantage. It has pretty much sidelined Biden just at the moment when Biden had pretty much sidelined Sanders. All eyes are on DC (since Mar-al-Lago is closed for disinfecting), and Trump is taking credit for the "Stimulus" bill, including the portions of it that would not be there except for the Democrats.

Which means it is more critical than ever to elect the most progressive Congress, both houses, we can this fall. The Congress is not subject to the "balancing" effects of the Electoral College.

Ed: Of course many parts of what the democrats added to the "STIMULUS BILL" only redirect funding that could have stimulated the economy to stimulating the Dems pet social projects.
