I am interested in knowing where Paul got the "judge those inside the church" notion. Jesus' most famous dictum on the subject is general and all-encompassing, "Judge not, that ye be not judged" (to cite the original 1611 autograph). This statement of Paul's is surely responsible for fueling much of the hair-splitting purity-driven sectarian schismaticism that so many Baptists have gone in for over the centuries.

Just an example of how a majority of the country now looks at Evangelicals and their relationship with Trump. The only way to justify continued support is to ignore and deny what he's done and create a whole new Trump who doesn't exist.

This is really shattering, disappointing stuff. How could "lost" people see this stuff and ever believe or trust what they heard a preacher say from the pulpit again? How do you convince people that all your preaching about Jesus is the truth when you deny facts with accompanying undeniable evidence?

Did I read Mohler correctly? Is he admitting the SBC's solidarity with the NRA and the mendacity of the anti abortion movement as a political wedge issue strategy has come to an end and Presslerism has run its course in the public square?

Doug Collins for certain as an ordained SBC minister is with Trump. An interesting case is William Timmons in SC 4th Trey Gowdy district; and Nathan Deal of Ga's upcoming lectures will be a bellwether of Mohler and CT's concerns. And JamesLankford Oklahoma Senator, ordained SBC as well and son in law of 80s SBC President Miller I think will indicate if there is any real politik in all this
