Franklin Graham letter

I can't decide whether to be offended or to laugh. This morning, there was a letter in the church mail asking for contributions to Samaritan's Purse to help refugees in Northern Syria. Is this from the same man who endorses Donald Trump's actions at every turn. It's Trump who, facilitated by folks like Graham, created the refugee crisis by giving the Turks a green light to conduct a genocide on the Kurds, our former US allies. Surely Franklin's people will not be dumb enough to send money to help people in the path of a massacre that his idol set loose. It's time to call Franklin to account for asking for funds for the very crisis he helped create, just like the President he supports so blindly.

Pretty much agreed, though Syria was already full of refugees, not all of them by any means Kurds.

Graham specifically singled out the refugee crisis in Northern Syria, the area of the Turkish attack.

Most of the people who would be inclined to give money to that are completely ignorant of what went on there. I doubt there's one in a thousand who knows anything and few who really care. I'd like to see some documentation or support that the money they raise for the various causes for which they send out thousands of letters actually gets to the people they are using to raise it and that all of it actually goes there.

I know I have been tainted against Franklin ever since his performance at the Virginia Tech Shootings. He was repeatedly on national news telling how Samaritans Purse would provide counselors to help the students who needed them. Later I talked with pastors in the Blacksburg area who all confirmed that as soon as the cameras were gone, so was Franklin and all of his organization. It was all for show and fundraising.
