Root is a nut job. Nothing he says can be taken seriously. I'm not surprised that Trump's ego pushed him to retweet, though I think his interest is more in trying to convince American Jews to vote his way, since upwards of 80% of them tend to vote Democratic. I'm not sure how "popular" he is in Israel, probably not any higher than the percentage of Jews who admire Netanyahu, head of a coalition government. Probably 40% at the most, though, does it matter at all? If he's impressed by Jewish admirers in Israel then he needs to give more credit to his detractors in Europe, who seem to make up most of the population and then some.

There are more Jews in Israel than Danes in Denmark, so his verbal behavior makes all the cents in the world.
