One of the odder deposits of irony from the blending of the Evangelical right with Trumpism is the legacy of Sarah Huckabee Sanders. The Arkansas Southern Baptist Preacher's daughter is stepping down as the White House Press secretary, and the legacy she is leaving behind is one of being one of the most prolific liars in American politics, next to Trump himself.

Given her age, she would have spend most of her growing up years as the "preacher's daughter" in the Beech Street First Baptist Church in Texarkana, Arkansas where her father Mike Huckabee was the pastor. His election as governor led to her finishing high school in Little Rock, presumably as a member of the same Baptist church her parents joined there and she got her undergraduate degree at Ouachita Baptist University. So she contributes a negative image on behalf of Baptists everywhere.

The rumor is that she plans to run for governor in Arkansas next year. Oh, well!
