I personally think the US is too pro-Israel, especially as the Jewish state buldozes homes of Palestinian natives for Jewish settlement with minimal compensation, if any.

I cant solve this riddle though I tend to agree with Dave Roberts. Roberts is one of the most noble participants on this board, though I have to believe the Palestinian bulldozing aspect as key as it is, has almost been overwhelmed by all the politics of the Arab Spring.

On being had a great program over the weekend with a moderate Turkish Muslim. With him and the likes of Daniel Accad at the Baptist Seminary in Lebanon is where there is hope for the region, but in our time it may be the hope of Bonhoeffer in Germany and The Kingdom of God not reified in our lifetime.

If you read the policy summary of that bill that sailed through the House and is now in the Senate, they don't really hide anything about how this is a massive commitment to not only support the defense of Israel but also to support whatever proactive steps Israel's military agenda may dictate.

Neither party wants to be cast as the "anti-Israel" party so its hard to see how it will not eventually become law, even as absurd, costly, and dangerous as it would be.
