Furman Chaplain Jim Pitts has died

Tributes are pouring in on his facebook wall Jim Pitts.
He was a founder of Smyth and Helwys literature and hosted John Lewis for a book signing at a CBF event in Atlanta late 90s.

He was a force for good in the inner circles of progressive Baptist movements with Marney, LD Johnson, Will Campbell, Randall Lolley and with LD Johnson was the first among summer Pastors Schools for which Furman was famous and well attended in the 70s and good time after.
