Ive known Casey Mattox mentioned in this article since he was in sixth grade in Collinsville and a key force in the youth church movement there for six years and through his four years at UVA. He as the article says is full throttle on Amy Coney Barrett nomination, now with the Koch Brothers and before that Alliance Defending Freedom.

I met Tom Edsall in 1986 at the Atlanta SBC. have had conversations with him, brief ones over the years but none in the last few. This is remarkable worlds colliding. It think it is fair to say Casey is the political spirtual child of the pastor's wife Gloria Morgan, while three of her four sons found a better way. More later.

I would ask Amy why given what a reprobate Donald Trump is, an insult to the Virgin Mary and Virgins everywhere, why as righteous Mother of Ten she is by reputation, she would submit or be complicit in a hiring process by one of the Biggest Infidels in the History of the World and his acolyte, the gravedigger of American Democracy, Mitch McConnell

And will she make time to field questions on the larger, even Biblical context of this nomination from a panel of Marilynne Robinson, Jill Lepore, Nathan Hatch, Randall Balmer and Melissa Rogers?

[quote] [/ohn Lewis district which began to change the Georgia results from Trump to Biden is where Chic Fil A comes from. That is a key story in this runoff. Will Dan Cathy rise to the occasion and put some political capital to his aside back in the summer he wanted to shine the shoes of an Atlanta Activist. See the front page of the NY Times today about SBC fundamentalists Bobby Jeffress after Trump and former Ga SBC editor Al Mohler. Recent Baptist history shows Truett Cathy when Mercer President was under assault, stood by the President of Mercer against the fundamentalist. Now is Dan Cathy's time to give a signal in these Senate races that determine the country's future and would be a remarkable turn in Baptist history. Talk to Atlanta native and Vandy PHD Ansley Quiros on this matter now teaching at U North Alabama Florence. And or talk to WLU journalism Professor Doug Cumming, whose father was Atlanta Newsweek bureau chief in the 60s to explore what Marshall Frady would be thinking at this moment for the next two months in Georgia!!!!!!!quote]

The above comment was posted a few minutes ago on the influential Ga NPR 9 am live talk show Political Rewind.

And today's NY Times updates the Koch Brothers of Casey Mattox in a paragraph about it's influence on Trump World, rather inflection. Or that coulda been NYbooks.com piece up today. NY Times has great piece on where Mohler and Bobby Jeffress are now these few days post Trump. Both pieces deserve to be read closely!!!
