In the history of Baptist Sermons and Prophetic Witness it is ironic that both Jerry Vines and Susan Shaw have roots in the West Rome Baptist Church. Vines was two times pastor there and hosted Adrian Rogers in 81 as the takeover was catching fire. Adrian preached his Tower of Babel of Sermon and West Rome taped it and widely disseminated.

My Dad voted against Vines at every turn but did give him credit for his Shekinah Glory Sermon, the one he was known for like RG Lee Pay Day Someday.

Shaw is in the Marney Tradition.

What is Shaw's connection to West Rome BC? I didn't notice any mention of it in the link.

And timely near the 50th anniversary of Woodstock as Harold Bloom said Woodstock was a twist on the Cane Ridge Revivals. A friend and I tried to make cinema history on the theme with a scene at the Atlanta Pop festival of July 5, 1969 with Janis Joplin, a month and change before Woodstock.
