I appreciate the sentiment that both Ed and Dave expressed about not requiring organizations they belong to having every i dotted and t crossed the way they want them to be. This particular issue, and how churches deal with it, is going to be divisive. It already has been and it seems to work both ways.

A well written and well thought out article. The subtext is clear that they will be examining if they want to remain affiliated with the CBF.

I see the article is from Feb. 2018. I thought it looked familiar.

Is there an ABC Region in the Eastern US comparable to Evergreen in the West? And are they in the AoB?

Ed: Haruo, I am not sure what you mean by "comparable" but from the way you have described Evergreeen I don't believe there is another Region in the nation that is fully comparable to Evergreen. Rochester probably comes the closest with their W & A stance and accepting churches from other geographic areas. But I think they have a more traditional decision making process. I am under the impression that each of the City based regions NY, Indianapolis, Ceavland ect; are Welcoming and affirming.
