The UMC Church is sort of the community church for "The Villages". I am told of their 2000 plus attendees, Methodist comprise about 45% with Presbyterian and Catholics being the next largest groups with a number of other denominations represented.
The large parking lots have about a third as many golf carts as cars , pickup trucks and vans, on most Sundays.
I have posted a prayer request below for Brownwood's Pastor, Donn Poole, who is recovering from surgery.
