I think for those of us in large metropolitan areas we should move to get involved together more as cooperating churches and individuals in local mission/service projects. It would be great if we sponsored more Habitat for Humanity, free clinics, legal services, etc as cooperative missions under the umbrella of NBC. This would get us working together and identify us as a multiracial, diverse group that is serious about engaging our culture in ways that will be transfroming.
I certainly want us to reach out nationally and internationally as well, but we need local networks on the ground.
