From Gerry Milligan...A common saying is that leopards cannot change their spots. This makes me think of supreme court justice Kavanaugh, especially with all of the accusations about him. And, I lay the blame at Moscow Mitch and his treatment of Judge Garland.

I believe in the power of God to change people, but that never means that they should not have to answer for what they have done in the past. Kavanaugh may have changed in his adult life, but the evidence seems to be clearer that his days in high school and college were not what one should expect of a Supreme Court justice. The rushed job by the FBI and the other leads ignored by the committee leave us with a problem almost as big as the one in the White House.

Hey, a Bible reference!

If anything is true about the justice is that if he had spots decades ago, and we had a long and agonizing process that covered all this prior to his confirmation, he no longer does - marriage, parent, adult career, etc. But, there's no law against using a Bible reference that doesn't fit.

But, if you want to get into the Times stuff, make some specific points.

Some of the Dems seem hungering and thirsting after impeachment and anyone will do for that. Whatever happened to Mueller anyway? Never a peep about him here or elsewhere.

There's an election in less than fourteen months and it is my modlib friends best chance for a justice to your liking.

Change the party affiliation. Kavanaugh is a liberal justice appointed by a Democratic president. The Republicans would already have the articles written and the case tried. And their propagandist media would be running 24 hour a day expose's.

Oh, come now, William. Surely with the level of political animosity that is occurring now, brought about largely by the right wing extremist media propaganda arm of the GOP, you didn't expect quiet acceptance of the fraud and corruption that electing the orange headed buffoon has brought about, did you? The SCOTUS nominees should have been very carefully vetted to make sure they had not only a pristine legal record when it came to the rulings they made, but also a pristine personal background. Looks like they did that with Gorsuch, who wasn't really Trump's choice, but didn't when it came to Kavanaugh. Well, seems like the Republicans have a thing for men who can't keep their zippers closed. A lot of Republicans are hoping Kavanaugh got control of his by the time the statute of limitations runs out on sexual assault crimes.

Don't equate not paying attention with "Never a peep." The House is even now laying out the case for impeaching the orange headed buffoon. Realistically, no matter what they lay out--and they are going to lay out a whole lot more than just the crimes documented in the Mueller report--they probably won't convince enough Republican senators to meet the two thirds threshold. What this is doing is laying out all of the constitutional violations and outright crimes that the buffoon has committed that make him ineligible for the Presidency. This is a case for the voters and a means of energizing Democrats and Independents to get the kind of voter turnout they had in the mid-terms. They'll get it and the buffoon won't come close to re-election. Afterward, if they choose, they'll have a mountain of evidence to prosecute him and send him to prison if they want.

Seeing Trump at rallies these days is almost worth watching. The puffy, red face, pointed, scrunched up lips whining and hollering about stuff that he should be serenely ignoring just gives his opponents insights into his desperation. The Democrats are very good at baiting him, to the point where his red face could light up one of his hotels.
