Cartoon goes viral, artist fired

None of the American news sources I read carried the cartoon, at least not that I noticed. The cartoonist lost his job, though the company with whom he had a contract say the cartoon had nothing to do with it. It's hard to tell, really, A majority of Canadians dislike Trump pretty strongly so perhaps it is as they say, the decision was made and the cartoon's popularity is just a coincidence.

What's happening to refugees and asylum seekers at the border is no joke. This administration is deliberately creating a crisis and Trump is reveling in the hardships of those attempting to save their families by fleeing to the US. The cartoon may be in poor taste, but the cartoonist certainly captured the attitude that Trump is conveying.

I don't know how much of the Mueller report you have read, David, but your statement suggests you haven't read much of it. And the (false) notion, repeatedly promoted by the President himself, that Mueller declared Trump innocent of collusion shows that you have bought the President's misinterpretation (which I don't think Trump himself believes, though I think he's glad you do) of both the purpose of the investigation and of its findings. Mueller, in spite of what you wrote here, did not initiate the investigation, and thus ought not to be held liable for doing so. He was appointed to the task by his superiors in the United States government. I suppose I hold all these notions because I'm a liberal or something. (Saving you the trouble of having to type up that indictment.) Also, you never explained how one's grasp or lack thereof of IHhateTrumpism has any bearing on Canadians' opinion of the guy, which to my impression is generally negative.
