I'm all for a free press. Acosta was doing his job. This president has repeatedly attempted to undermine a free press because it gets at truths he doesn't want anyone to know, and because any intelligent American who thinks for themselves and doesn't swallow the verbal diarrhea of the extremist right wing propagandists can look it up and see that Acosta, CNN, Rachel Maddow, MSNBC and most of the rest of the mainstream media get their facts right. Huckabee-Sanders has to run interference and either obfuscate, which she seems to be an expert at doing, or lie. Trump's attitude deserves an in-kind response. There's an old expression that if you live in a glass house, you should not throw rocks. Trump has a mountain of corruption, adulterous affairs, illegal business dealings including internationally illegal, payoffs to the mob, and whatever the Mueller investigation may have turned up, and the press can get to most of that and make sure the world knows. Maybe he is so inept and stupid that he doesn't see CNN repaying him in kind by digging up and reporting whatever they can as long as he keeps attacking them.
The more aggresive the reporters who sit in the front row of the White House press room, the better I like it.
