Moral Bankruptcy in the Trump administration

The fact that this woman still has a job, and that the GOP and administration have been virtually silent about this remark tells you the depths of moral bankruptcy that exists in the Trump administration. It's not so much the remark, but the fact that among Republicans, and especially members of the administration, the crickets are chirping. That's a despicable reaction from a party that claims to represent God on earth.

My favorite these days is the 180 degree flip of Franklin Graham.

First, he condemned Bill Clinton for his involvement with Monica Lewinsky and said he should be impeached. Then he says that Trump's affair with a porn star is nobodies business but his and his wife's. Guess it depends on who he likes and not the commandments of scripture.

Ed: Dave you seem to ignore a couple major points Clinton was President and his most publicized moral transgression was with a much younger subordinate and occurred in the Oval office, while trumps alleged transgression is said by all to have occurred prior to his election. Note, I am not defending or excusing Trump if the allegation is true, but this has not been established. What I accept is that William Jefferson Clinton nor Donald Trump are glowing examples of marital fidelity. BTW am not a real fan of Franklin Graham but on this tend to agree.

Oh, I get it. If you are immoral before you become President, then it's OK.

I'd say one of the major differences is that Clinton didn't use campaign funds to pay off Monica Lewinsky to keep her quiet prior to the election. Lewinski, BTW, wasn't a "subordinate." Comparisons like this are pointless. Clinton is old news, and his morality was never really an issue for anyone except the religious right. Giving Trump a pass on everything just gives ammunition to those who think Evangelicals are stipid dullards anyway.

Trump didn't use campaign funds to pay off Stormy Daniels. The funding came from Big Pharma and Big Tele. There was a campaign involved, but it was theirs, not Trump's.
