Some interesting things in this survey, some surprising, some not so surprising. The fact that a relatively high percentage of self-identified Evangelicals don't hold strongly to the core beliefs identified in the survey is surprising. The connection to the Republican party is not surprising, though the percentages are a lot lower than I thought they'd be.
For a group of people who are so insistent on doctrinal conformity as a major part of faith, the preaching and teaching doesn't seem to be making much of an impact.
