Finally a date when Charles Marsh much anticipated work on Bonhoeffer will be on the shelves, in bookstores ready for purchase.

Lot of Chatter on Marsh's Facebook wall in anticipation including Duke's Curtis Freeman, and Diana Butler Bass plus a Harvard Proff.

MS Bass said Marsh will be a much needed correction of Metaxas which she called "poisonous."

This article was reprinted in the Sept 2013 Baptists Today. I'm pretty certain Metaxas endorsed Rick Santorum for the S.C. Prez Primary 2012. He spoke in Myrtle Beach to Republican Women before the pivotal Presidential debate there. He has a lot of explaining to do re Kris Kobach and immigration reform. Koback toured S.C. with Mitt Romney for that primary

Last Thursday or the day before I called Speaker Hubbard's staffer of 20 years or so Boone Kinard unbeknownst of the visitors I had last week. I mentioned to him something about Charles Marsh, the Bonhoeffer scholar and his upcoming book and Uncle Fisher Humphreys book I mention in the blog link above.

Wish he woulda said more about Frank Fisher and Aalbama but it's in the book. Marsh will be in Bham Friday afternoon. His Uncle Fisher Humphreys and his Mother's sister Caroline Humphreys will be there for his stop in Bham at the Booksmith in Homewood.

Marsh piece at ethics and politics name came up with I called several members of the Bama delegation this morning about Rick Burgess

I talked to an intern of Congresswoman Martha Roby's DC staff this morning. She is an honors grad of the U bama, their Honors Program a neighbor of my cousin Neil in Alaska is now enrolled in. This Bama native and Honors program grad wasnt sure she had heard of Bonhoeffer.'

Roy Moore's 14 year old dalliances are a distraction. It is pathetic Grads of the Honors program at Bama and 80 percent of the staffers of the Bama delegation cannot tell you who Judge Frank Johnson and Bonhoeffer are.

Somebody is not screening for the Bama Delegation.

No wonder Rick Burgess runs amok in the state.

I went to a ralley in Fyffe Alabama Tuesday night for US Senate Candidate Doug Jones. Got four tees three for friends, for Gubernatorial candidate Walt Whitman, I mean Walt West, no Walt Maddox, Methodist Mayor of Tuscaloosa. Mine and A Barn friend was 3xxx. The BBQ was great. Goin in I was 60 percent Jones and 40 percent anti Moore. Still no friend of the politics of Moore though his former pastor of 12 years and I are friends.

Now I am 95 percent Jones no matter how many under age breasts Moore fondled for the Ten Commandments!
