Guidestone Fund

Postby rfuss » Wed Mar 14, 2012 9:15 am

Baptist Press indicated that the Guidstone Fund received the Premier Finanical Award. As of now, it appears that anyone can invest in the Guidestone Fund. Did the Guidestone fund start out as a retirement fund for only SBC ministers and employees associated with the SBC, or was it always open to other people?

If there was a change, when was it?

Does anyone know how much of the over $40 billion it has is now in the SBC ministers retirement fund?
Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice.

The article said:
GuideStone Funds are available to Southern Baptist and evangelical Christian churches and ministry organizations that GuideStone Financial Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention is authorized to serve. In addition, the funds are sold to individuals associated with those organizations that are eligible to utilize products and services made available by GuideStone Financial Resources. For more information, visit http://www.GuideStone.org.

I'd guess that you can find answers to that at GuideStone's site linked above.

I'd note that GS has 27 funds.
