Charles Marsh when he came within him about 15 miles three years ago.
Timothy George is an apologist for Bonhoeffer.

The latest apology for the Manhattan Declaration.
Eric Metaxas has been coopted by the Tea Party reports from South Carolina would suggest.
Will be interesting to see how the conversation between George and Charles Marsh after Marsh's biography of Bonhoeffer is published.

I finally got around to reading the review this began with, and one thing I can say very definitively is that I wish commenters wouldn't go for the "Anonymous" option. It makes it horribly difficult to dissect the discussion and connect the dots. Imagine if biographers had to base their analyses (of Bonhoeffer or anyone else) on correspondence between people who wrote "Gnaedige Anonym" as salutation and "Dein Anonym" as sig line? Oik!

Seems to me I recall George participating a bit on the bpfna mailing list (not in the Peacemaker per se) more recently (maybe early in this millennium) and it sounded to me like he was feeling unwelcome because of the organization's pro-gay position.
Another ridiculous example

George Judson speech was possibly not concocted with malice but like the Bama Immigration law, the unintended consequences cannot go unnoticed.
I have been rereading MRobinson on Dietrich again lately. George misses the point. Bonhoeffer rightly understood has implications not only for the lack of insight of George, but for the obfuscation folks like George and Metaxas give Casey Mattox and his recent ADF American Thinker blog on Margaret Sanger.
This American Life feature on Alabama Immigration and Kris Kobach puts it in sharp relief. I'm still thinking through it but it's way passed serious and Rick Lance and the Bama SBC continues to whistle Dixie.
