Charles Pickering, member of the SBC Peace Committee, former Prez of Mississippi Baptist Convention, and Bush 43 Judicial Nominee is a leader of the Allied Defense Fund, a competitor to the Baptist Joint Committee on Public Affairs.

With lesser insidiousness, he appears to be mirroring Bircher Albert Lee Smith's widow Eunie and her Immigration shenanigans in Alabama with this tack on abortion in Mississippi.

Has the appearance of further incremental tea party escalations to capture state legislatures, gerrymander voting districts and solidify control of the US House of Representatives.

To that extent Pressler and Jesse Helms designs on the SBC and its payback for national power are working, decade at a time.

Will Baylor, Samford or Mercer hosts a two day discussion panel with Williams and Dochuk to discuss the political strategy at work here; and when will Dave Miller, Mohler and or Richard Land engage Karen Gorney as she has parsed the politics of abortion; (easily googled.)
