Will Doug Carver discuss Jerry Boykin at White Oak

My Grandfather had a great witness in being an integral part as a prayer warrior in leading Retired Army Chaplain into a Knowledge of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

This fall he will be featured speaker at Retreat in the state that recently has been the kingmaker for Republican GOP candidates.

There are a lot of questions about S.C. pastor Frank Page and his hardwiring to Tea Party Jim Demint; and the greater universe of Jerry Boykin and Charles Pickering Allied Defense Fund as Religion Dispatches and Oklahoma's Bruce Prescott are of the persuasion the cabal has led Southern Baptists in a big drift away from the Historic Stance of George W. Truett.
I hope wise folks in Baptist life are informed and may have substantive conversations with Carver at White Oak.
CBF's Marion Aldridge recent review in Foy Valentine's Christian Ethics Today of Rachel Held Evans Evolving in Monkeytown may be a grand place to start.

While in Winnsboro I hope they will make every effort to hear Elder Babb and the Madison Bumblebees Trombone Choir for Jesus rendition of Since I started my Christian Journey.
I heard them several years ago at Bham bama's City Stages and it was boost to My Holy Spirit.

Baylor's Aaron Weaver and Doug Carver

Postby Stephen Fox » Mon Sep 12, 2011 4:10 pm

Weaver has a strong column in his weekly wrapup at Baps Today blogs this week strong indictment of Frank Page whining to President Obama about the National Cathedral events for 9-11. Page appears to be having his strings jerked around a little by the darker venues of the tea party group. Is someone in the Demint board for which Page is an advisor whispering in his ear?

Here is what Aaron BDW Weaver can do. He can look closely at the Posner/Butler discussion at religiondispatches.org and from their concluding reservations about Jerry Boykin and Charles Pickering of the Allied Defense Fund; from this field Weaver in conversation with Posner can construct a line of inquiry for Doug Carver cause the SBC needs some clarity in this muck.
