I think anytime someone is in a leadership position such as pastor or religious leader, then people feel free nowadays to evaluate every decision they make and then evaluate what they perceive their level of spiritual maturity to be. Even worse, when a leader makes a mistake, they all (and bloggers especially) feel free to dispense advice of how they they need to repent, to whom they need to repent, and for how long they need to repent. I actually want nothing to do with a mega-church and its primarily because of their style of music and not the antics of the pastor (even though I find much of that to be questionable). Basically, if I don't care for a certain mega-church, then I just don't go there. I don't blog about it and ruminate about their every move. There are plenty of other churches and other pastors to study under.
I do indeed wonder what would have happened had Bill Clinton had ever come clean about his transgressions since we are worried about Presidential actions. My wonderment might also extend to those in Congress...
