BLACK HAWK DOWN

Postby Prentice Fox » Wed Aug 22, 2007 6:21 am

MSNBC reports this morning that 14 soldiers died in the Helicopter crash, Military said that no hostile fire was indicated. It was probaly a mechanical failure. Chaplain, Major General, Doug Carver, SBC(From my Dad's home church of Dykes Creek in Rome, Ga) is the new Chief of Army Chaplains. It will be the arduous task of one of his Chaplains to inform the families of these soldiers' death.. It is the hardest job a military Chaplain has to do in his various tasks. A B-52 Bomber went down on takeff when I was Chaplain at Columbus AFB, MS('63-'66) with nine crew on board. Three were neighbors on my street in base housing. It is a time when most people ask, "WHY?" and God's comfort and solace are greatly needed. Pray for the families of the soldiers. UNCLE PRENTICE
