#4 ought to be sufficiently convicting to SBC trustees and administrators. When I read it, it felt like I'd been hit with a bucket of cold water.
The longer I live, the more I become convinced that SBC agencies need a top level separation along the common corporate order of having a President (professionally trained clergy background) and a CEO (professionally trained laity with a corporate governance background). It seems that pastors are decreasingly able to properly handle the management duties at this organizational level/scope.
