Rename SBTS Chapel

I saw in yesterday's news that Russell Moore has proposed renaming Alumni Memorial Chapel at SBTS as Mohler Chapel, I could care less in one sense, but the chapel was built within a decade of the end of World War II and funds were raised in part to honor World War II chaplains who graduated from SBTS and lost their lives in the war, as well as all other alumni. It seems absurd to assume that one alumnus, Al Mohler, represents all the alumni.

Has Mohler died? I would think the SBC namers and doers might have learned just why it is that regulations prohibit stamps commemorating living persons (or at least did when I was of a philatelic age).

Why change the name? It seems the name has significance as to its construction. And, I think there are potential pitfalls to naming a chapel after a still living employee of the school. Isn't there a stained glass window of Paige Patterson at SWBTS that might be a bit embarrassing right now?
Or is it that the school now no longer wants the chapel being named after Alum, many of whom may have been dreaded moderates? LOL

My reaction was in part because of the link with commemorating the sacrifice of World War II and Korean War Chaplains who had been killed. To change the name would seem to me to disrespect the sacrifices of those who served and died. Just when I thought Russel Moore was getting above the fray.
