Southern Baptists Addressing Race Relations...Again

It might be good for Southern Baptist unity, and for their public image, to pass this resolution without any tweaks or adjustments, since it addresses things that other resolutions have diplomatically and carefully avoided in the past. I think it might also be good for someone to spontaneously nominate Dr. Dwight McKissic for President of the SBC. It would go a long, long way toward bringing Southern Baptists together with many of their African American brothers and sisters who still aren't too sure about investing in the convention, and it would wreck the factionalism that dominates the Baptist news headlines anyway.
