And this one's not about Traditionalists vs Calvinists.

This looks political, related to Russell Moore's calling out of Trump and his Evangelical right wing supporters. And what that means is that it has more potential to rip apart the fabric of the denomination than a theological war over Calvinism. I sense that there are a lot more Southern Baptists who are willing to march to anathema holding on to an unqualified support for Trump equal to or greater than what they have for Jesus, more than they are willing to do so for either Calvin or the leftover Conservative Resurgence crowd.

Noting that the woman who seems to be leading the anti-Moore charge is from Louisiana, I wonder if William has any sense that this might be connected to the effort to defeat J.D. Greear.

With Frank Page and David Platt gone from SBC leadership, the SBC better hold tightly on to Russ Moore. He is the last sensible, reasonable, critical-thinking leader they have left who still sees that it is both wise, and Biblical, for churches to separate themselves from secular politics, and return to the gospel they've abandoned. Dwight hit a home run with this one.
