Maundy Thursday

On the day before the crucifixion, Jesus became very personal with the disciples, washing their feet, telling them he would be killed but comforting them, breaking bread with them, warning them even to the extent of bloodshed to take care and look out for themselves and their families and finally giving them reasons to expect ultimate peace. The disciples had always shared the same dangers as had Jesus just by being in his presence, perhaps not exactly a “band of brothers” but awfully close. A hymn for Maundy Thursday: .

The song I see when I click the link is hymn 96, My Peace I Leave With You -- no mention of feet washing.
