Former Bama SBC Prez endorses Romney; backed by Pickering

Charles Pickering is former Mississippi SBC prez, Bush 43 Judicial Nominee and member of the 87 SBC Peace Committee. Pickering and Reagan operative Allan Sears' Alliance Defending Freedom is sponsoring this mess.

I think if Billy is really behind it, it's evidence of his senility. It flies in the face of his whole career as the nonpartisan pastor to the Presidents, and his not too long past comments about what he had learned. I think Franklin is the culprit, and is carefully limiting Billy's exposure to the news and to Democrats.

And I have a question about the use of the term "Sacred Desk". What makes an assembled piece of furniture, be it wooden, plexiglass or a modified 55 gallon oil drum or as the one in a church I visited this past Sunday, a high cocktail table from a defunct restaurant, Sacred?

Seems to me that only Divine Intervention can make a retired bar table into a Sacred Desk. Pulpits, on the other hand, can be tweaked into Sacred Desks by the mere application of flowery prose.
