In March of 1993 I witnessed an Albert Lee Smith orchestrated event of Samford President Tom Corts. A Public Inquisition I have discussed at various places on this board over the years.

Now Albert Lee and Roy Moore forces aligned with Smith's widow Eunie's Eagle Forum--see post on Kris Kobach And Eunie--have the heads of top http://www.aptv.org administrators over the bogus religious history of David Barton.

See Paul Harvey at http://www.religiondispatches.org

Wayne Flynt not long ago said there was a gargantuan struggle for the soul of Alabama. Where is Rick Lance and Bob Terry on this outrageous firing?

Melissa Rogers on good word is livid about David Barton and his influence.

See the Paul Harvey piece here

http://www.religiondispatches.org/archi ... _politics/

She is with great alarm sharing Harvey's piece or one like it on Barton widely via email.

Melissa's grandparents were founders of the www.bcoc.net in Birminham; almost certifiably contemporaries of SCOTUS Hugo Black.

Now comes along Rick Lance as ExCom of the Bama SBC and his Deacon Gov Bentley.

Gov Bentley has appointed Roy Moore's communications director Jay Holland to Bama Public tv board. and right out of the chute the top folks are fired and Barton has become the template to teach American Religious history in the public schools and on state TV.

It is an assault on the legacy of Hugo Black, and by extension Judge Frank Johnson.

What does Charles Pickering of the Mississippi Baptist Convention, SBC Peace Committee and Allied Defense Fund say about all this.

What will Pick's great friend Bob Terry of the Bama Baptist say about all this.

Barton is not the view of the late Samford Prez Tom Corts.

Stephen Black, Hugo's Grandson teaches at U Bama.

The poop is about to hit the fan again in Bama

Melissa Rogers is engaging this conversation. I have a note with Bama SBC EX Dir Rick Lance secretary to get word to Gov Bentley about the gravity of his miscue with Jay Holland and David Barton.

Forces are shaping up for battle that will define the legacy of Rick Lance and Bama Bap's Bob Terry on Church State.

Judge Frank Johnson and Hugo Black are under assault in Bama. See www.wbhm.org for latest story on lawsuit against a Deacon Bentley appointed board that includes Roy Moore's communication director Jay Holland.

Solid Reports Albert Lee's Widow who apparently has Gov Bentley's home phone number on everything from Immigration to David Barton was recently in glowing political pic with Bachmann and Schlafly about the time Meeshale made her outrageous comments.

Bachmann, Bentley and Eunie Smith

Bama SBC Ex Director, his secretary Mary Sue Bennett, and Bama Baptists editor have some explaining to do to Bama Baptists about the spectrum Eunie Smith falls on in regard Alliance Defending Freedom's Charles Pickering.

Eunie Smith has held a field day since Bentley's inauguration and the leadership of Bama Baptists have been struck mute in matters concerning the widow of Albert Lee Smith and her Eagle Forum. About the time Bachmann was engaging in her latest McCarthyism, Eunie had her picture taken with Bachmann and Schlafly in solidarity with their causes.

APTV is in Dissaray cause of Gov Bentley's appointments and SBC leadership in the state is largely to blame.

Mary Sue Bennett

Ms. Bennett is long time friend of Gov Bentley and Rick Lance from their shared days at FBC Tuscaloosa. She is now Secretary to Rick Lance, Ex Dir of Bama SBC. I had solid five minute conversation with Ms. Bennett August 9 alerting her to the NPR segment on Barton and asking her to make sure Gov Bentley and Lance take it under consideration.
I stressed I would be greatly surprised if the late Tom Corts of Samford, or Judge Frank Johnson would not be appalled at the Baptist negligence of Gov Bentley in letting the APTV board fall into such suspect hands.

Thanks for this post. Hope you have read my blog. She has been patient and kind with me. However, hope you Neil, will google the Mother Jones Self Deportation article and have conversation with the Bennetts as a matter of Christian Conscience. No time on this matter in Bama to be silent or play Baptist parlor games, though I believe in good manners like my Momma did.
