Fremont Baptist Historical Photos

Today at church I got a CD containing 169 historic(al) photos of bygone eras in Fremont Baptist's history. I've begun loading them on our website, and have set up a very rudimentary album to accomodate them.

I agree it's a truck, but I'll bet it was competing with a lot of horses for its hay. Thanks for the Potlatch Parade picture link. Imagine! Civic pride before Seafair!

Actually, this is the 100th anniversary year of Seattle's first World's Fair, the . (Queen Anne Hill is the part of Seattle just across the canal to the SW of Fremont.) And the anniversary of the adoption of "Seattle, the Peerless City", our official city song, which describes us (in 1909) as "greater far than ancient Rome"...

Actually, the one in 7614 is horse-drawn:



and that's the picture I had in mind when I mentioned horses. Presumably the truck was a year or two later.
