I first heard of her back in 2005, in an article by Pam Durso for Mercer's Baptist Studies Bulletin.
Judson Press put out a book edited by Dr. Ella earlier this year titled Those Preaching Women: A Multicultural Collection. It's on my to-read list. I'll see if my dad has received a free review copy yet.
The funeral is Today (Tuesday) at Ebenezer in Atlanta. Alexis and I visited Ebenezer on Thanksgiving afternoon, took a few pictures and paid our respects to Dr. King and Mrs. Coretta. It was her first trip to Auburn Avenue - a trip that most Georgians (heck, most Atlanta residents) have unfortunately never made. Visiting Ebenezer is always a powerful experience for me.
