Children in Poverty - Training oportunity

VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 03/01/07)—A special learning event, Seeing the Children—Transforming the Church, will be held on June 27-28, just before the American Baptist Churches USA Biennial Meeting in Washington, D.C. Seeing the Children, sponsored by National Ministries at Washington’s Howard University School of Divinity, will offer creative ministry models and networking opportunities to help meet the needs of children living in poverty.

Keynote speaker for the event is Bishop Donald Hilliard Jr., D.Min., presiding bishop and founder, Covenant Ecumenical Fellowship and Cathedral Assemblies, Inc. and pastor, Cathedral International (the Historic Second Baptist Church), Perth Amboy, N.J.
