A Call to Action
The people of the Buffalo, NY area need help in cleaning up after the snow fall of mid October. ( They had a foot or more of wet heavy snow, well before all the leaves where off the trees) There are about 900 sites still needing to have trees cut and branches dragged out to the road.
American Baptist Men of NYS will be going to Lockport First Baptist on Nov. 17th to stay overnight and work all day on Nov. 18th.
We are looking for 60 men & women who are willing to help people who are unable or cannot afford to pay to have it done.
We need people with chain saws, hand saws, ropes, small tractors, and (God willing) a bucket truck. Even if you don't have these tools, come and lend a hand. We are doing this as a one day work event so that students and workers can come along and help
Sleeping accommodations: in the church, bring an inflatable mattress, sleeping bags, wash cloths, and personal items. You will need work boots, hard hat, work gloves, and whatever tools you think would be helpful. We will provide some tools from our disaster trailer. Food will be provided by the Southern Baptists at their church in Amherst.
