Hauro what if anything can you tell us about the new ABCUSA region on the upper west coast? Is it in fact a new regio or a realignment of regions>

Do we have another region up here? Hadn't heard about it.
Actually I'm guessing you mean Evergreen, which is more than a decade old. I'm not sure what to say beyond that, not knowing how you would define "region". Geographically it clearly overlays a number of preexisting regions (and beyond), stretching as it does from Alaska to Venezuela and from Southern California to Utah, notwithstanding its center of gravity in the greater Seattle area.

Sounds an awful lot like a new name for an old entity. The same Executive Minister (Steve Bils) is listed for the Central Pacific Coast region on the page Timothy linked to and for American Baptist Churches of Oregon on the . Can't really tell you anything about them. My only Baptist church experience in Oregon was with FBC McMinnville during a BPFNA gathering at Linfield. Probably not representative. As far as I know no Evergreen churches are in Oregon.

I am told they changed their name when as Shane Kinnison of Gresham, OR, says, "ABC of Oregon began receiving churches from Northern CA two years ago. Thus, we changed our identity to ABCCPC (American Baptist Churches of the Central Pacific Coast) to better reflect our new relationship." So it's not a new region, just a new name for a tweaked region.

Ed, it reminds me that I haven't kept up with recent ABC happenings.
