the book of Genesis states that eve was the mother of all living before the birth of cain and abel.adam and eve not only had an eternal soul before sin but also eternal flesh,by eating from the tree of life.the sons of adam that left the garden had a life span you can see their bones in the fossil record.millions of years old.their soul went to paradise before sin,but their flesh died.the scientic age of the earth is basically correct.there is an undefined period of time between the original six days of creation and adams sin in the garden.

1) So which is it: (a) was Eve Adam's mother or (b) was Adam not living?

2) Where do you get the notion that A & E ate of the tree of life before sin? It looks to me as if God's (or "the gods'": "Let us...") stated purpose in driving them out of the garden:
And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

3) Potassium-argon and carbon-14 dating doesn't tell us life span, it tells us (presumably, roughly) how long ago.

4) What do you think the "paradise" that souls of dead sons of Adam go to is? Is it heaven? Is it the garden of Eden? Is it some other place? Or is it a condition, not a place? Or what.

either they ate from the tree of life for their flesh to continue to live forever or the fact that they lived in the garden of eden caused their flesh to live forever.their children left the garden and their flesh died.adams flesh died roughly 6000 years ago.
