Ed: Since coming to Upstate NY in 2002 and learning that Jimmy Carter Jimmy Carter (James Earl Carter Jr.), 39th president of the United States,
received a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy in 1946 and when chosen by Admiral Hyman Rickover for the nuclear submarine program, he was assigned to Schenectady, N.Y., where he took graduate work at Union College in reactor technology and nuclear physics,...

I have asked several folk if they knew anything of his church attendance during that period Most where not even aware that he had attended Union. Today during a Capital area ministers meeting, I got the answer from. Rev. Wally Able a retired pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Schenectady. Indeed Jimmy and Rosalynn attended Tabernacle when he was a student at UNION. Tabernacle is the ABC-USA Church where Rev. Jack Lotty the member of Burnt Hills Baptist Church, who joined this Forum back in March, is the interim.
