From Ouachita's news letter.
Twenty-year-old Princella Smith, a history and political science major from Wynne (Ark) , was chosen to represent young Republicans at the convention. Smith was one of ten finalists in a national essay contest, sponsored by the RNC and MTV’s “Choose or Lose” campaign. More than 100,000 votes were cast in the "Stand Up and Holla!" contest and Smith’s winning total secured her a spot on the convention program. She is scheduled to speak at 6:08 Tuesday evening.

Ed: Dr. Bob Riley former Lt. Governor of Arkansas and former Professor of Political Science at Ouachita, a Baptist University in Arkadelphia, is probably turning over in his grave. Dr. Bob was a lifelong Democrat. But I am glad to see a student form my Alma Mater getting national recognition.
