In case you haven't looked the latest result to the poll question "Do you believe there is a US Government cover-up surrounding 9/11".
The results:
88% YES
12% NO
(as of 6:52 am CST on 11/11/04)
Now doesn't that call for an investigation. Note this poll is well after the 911 Commision.
And that investigation must be independent (i.e. not run by people who might have guilt, or people that have conflicts of interests or people with "axes to grind")
That investigation must also be thorough (covering all the aspects of 9/11 - intel pre-warnings, each crash, WTC7, Al Qaeda actions before, during and after 911, financing, US agency [FBI,CIA,DoD...] reactions that day, US leadership reactions that day and how it was used, scrambling jets, wargames.....). And let there be no one immune from testifying under oath.
You Democrats out there demanded investigations when there was a
(1) DNC HQ breakin possibly by Nixon troops (Watergate)
(2) possibility of an illegal arms tansfer (Iran-Contra)
You Republicans out there demanded investigations when there was a
(3) possibility of an illegal real estate transaction in Arkansas(Whitewater)
(4) chance of sexual misconduct by Clinton in Oval Office(Monicagate)
$57M spent by Ken Starr on (3) and (4)
Now let's consider the relative importance of these events adding 911 to the list.
How many people died in each? (pro-lifers take note)
(1) none, (2) some, (3) none, (4) none, (911) >2900 - hummm
What has more ramifications on the US's future ?
(1) , (2) and (4) had some, (3) very little, (911) terrorism and our response to it is quite important (wouldn't you agree). - hummm
To change the song a bit:
All I am saying is give investigations a chance.
