Ed sed: 'Where? Seems to me that Jones is saying "would that all kids were like mine."'
We parents are always extremely proud when our kids echo and endorse our particular theological stances, even when they are guided into such by patient, intructive, committed fathers. (Examples: Billy Graham and son; Jimmy Swaggart and son; Jim Bakker and son; Oral Roberts and son; Robert Shuler and son; Francis Schaeffer and son; Paul Crouch and son; Charles Stanley and son; nameafewofyourown and son.
Jones' son is quite advanced if, at 17, he is reading and understanding the mentioned authors. Let's hope he is reading beyond those sources approved by Dad. Maybe a little Nietsche? Schopenhauer? Hefner?!!
Kids are not old enough to say "Yes" to a life commitment until they are old enough to say "No."
IMO, as always.
