Congressional oddball 911 hearings, KeithE are you watching?

Atlanta Journal Consititution today, I'd give a link but you've got to register, bah humbug.

This is the brainchild of Cynthia McKinney, wacko Atlanta congresswoman. Free Cokes and GA peanuts...I hope Cynthia holds extensive hearings it will serve to get her defeated, again, for congress next year.


A few paragraphs: "Though she left the testimony and questioning of panelists to others, McKinney was the main attraction, presiding over more than two dozen participants, including the author of a book that claims the U.S. government had advance knowledge of the Pearl Harbor attack and allowed it to happen, and Peter Dale Scott, who wrote three books on President John F. Kennedy's assassination.

Georgia peanuts, Cokes and coffee were available to more than 50 attendees, whose casual dress was a decided change from the gangs of blue-suited lobbyists who usually crowd Capitol Hill hearings.

McKinney herself offered witnesses bottled water and found additional trash cans to place around the room.

Nearly a dozen 9/11 enthusiasts lined one side of the room, camcorders at the ready, broadcasting the hearing live over the Internet or recording it for later release. C-SPAN cameras documented the hearing, and a DVD recording of the proceedings will soon be available.

Ten people sat in a section reserved for family members of 9/11 victims.

"Nine-eleven could have been prevented," said Marilyn Rosenthal, a University of Michigan professor who lost a son in the attacks, echoing the premise of the hearing.

Panelists maintained that Bush ignored numerous warnings from the CIA, the Federal Aviation Administration, foreign governments and others who told him before 9/11 that Osama bin Laden was planning to attack the United States and that terrorists were likely to use hijacked airliners as weapons.

But why would the president or his administration want the 9/11 attacks to occur? Power, the panelists agreed.

In the wake of the attacks, the administration was able to greatly expand the president's power and the reach of the federal government, they said, but whistle-blowers and other potential witnesses who could have testified to the Sept. 11 commission about such things were either prevented from speaking or ignored in the commission's final report. Panelists called the commission's report "a cover-up."

"The American people have been seriously misled," said Scott.[end ajc]

Don't know if this will interest the mainstream media, but since this crowd is still writing about Pearl Harbor (63+ years after the fact) and Kennedy (41+ years) I'm sure the industry is secure for the forseeable future.

Thanks for so fondly remembering my passion. No I didn't watch the McKinney Panel on C-SPAN today. The meeting was yesterday and I knew it was going to be replayed on CSPAN today (should have recorded it but there will be transcripts). I took a lesiurely trip with my wife to Chattanooga today instead (shopping, movie - Batman Begins, and McKay Used Books - best used bookstore I've ever been in). Just got back. Fun time.

In fact there are three days of meetings/protests at Lafayette Park/strategy mtgs in WashDC on July 22-24. Read about here. and about the Jersey 911 Widows' statement leading into this DC Emergency Truth Summit.
Remember they were the ones demanding a 911 Commision in the first place and they finally got a sham Commission ~ 3 years later (Exec Director a White House insider, all commissioners having some form of conflict of interest). The widows are not in the least satisfied with its outcome (70% of questions ignored) as the link shows.

I betcha this whole weekend gets little American MSM coverage. I'm actually pleased about the ACJ giving it some press (although it was dissmissive at times [those parts that Wm picked out] and didn't report any of the real zingers that probably came up). Two friends of mine said they planned to attend some of the 911 festivities in DC this weekend, so if I get a real report, I'll pass it on.

Cynthia McKinney may very well lose her next election (for this or other reasons) but at least she is searching for the TRUTH. The majority of American's opinion on this have been shaped by the MSM on this subject. Georgians will probably call her unpatriotic and wacko, when the truth is she is the real Patriot here and is investigating 911 herself instead of being "shaped" into a particular viewpoint by the media. As the book "Into the Buzzsaw" by Kristina Borjesson says "in the midst of all the patriotic fervor, the network perceived that its audience didn't want critical coverage. They wanted cheerleading" (that was about Iraq invasion but the same applies with 911 to a larger degree).

I'd appreciated it greatly if you would at least watch the video I posted last week.

I'll mail a copy to anyone who for whatever reason cannot download it. It is probably the best free video on the subject I can offer and pictures/audio from those on the scene are more effective than mere words (however well documented) in such books as The New Pearl Harbor or 911 Commission : Omissions and Distortions both by David Ray Griffin. On the video, you will hear a on-scene FoxNews reporter say in effect 'that was definitely no airliner, it had a blue ring logo on the front nose' and other reporters/witnesses say there were many explosions just before or during the collapse of WTC 1 and 2. You will see an explosion mushroom cloud take down WTC 6 which was not hit by an airplane and you see that WTC7 (also not hit by an airplane) was deliberately demolished via a very professionally done controlled demolition at ~ 5:00pm on 9/11/01. You will see demonstrated that the Pentagon physical remains could not have been caused by a 125 wingspan Boeing 757 for several reasons. And much, much more. And that video only covers about 40% of the suspicious data coming from 9/11.

Just for grins, if any of you actually downloaded and watched this video, please PM your impressions. Otherwise I'll assume you haven't bothered.

The Official Story is full of holes and there are many items being covered-up (steel evidence removed [illegally] from WTC and sent to be melted in Asia w/o looking for traces of explosives, videos of Pentagon crash confiscated within 10 minutes of crash never to be released to public or even discussed in the 911 Commission Report, Daschle being called in by Bush and Cheney separately and told not to investogate it much, 70% of the widows questions ignored, many documents withheld from the Joint Congressional Committe & the 911 Commission and marked over at that, NTSB told to leave each crash site, FAA tapes of actions wrt scrambling aircraft, .......).
