By the way, one of the underlying assumptions of in inclusivist soteriology is that God doesn’t punish people for ignorance, just purposeful disobedience. One of the difficulties in soteriology if you aren’t a Calvinist is how does God deal with human frailties. If you are Calvinist and believe in election, none of that matters. But if salvation involves a human response, how does God deal with responses that are out of ignorance, misinformation, etc. when the person’s heart and intentions were right.
