I'm starting this thread as a place for anyone who has one to post hymns you just wrote or just ran across that are not in the standard Baptist hymnbag but that you think would go well in your/our worship.

This is one I just ran into on Facebook, set to LYONS ("O Worship the King"). I think it's really good. The author makes it freely available.

I make a stab at hymns from time to time. As I mentioned to someone I recently sent a "blessing" in the form of a hymn, I have dubbed my attempts "Struggle On." I usually find some lines flow easily as if the Lord has given them to me, while others I struggle and grasp to come up with! The one below is a companion to the standard "Jesus Loves Me" stanza.
Jesus Loves Me. 7s. (January 15, 2019)
1. Jesus loves me, but I ask,
Why he took upon this task?
Love to sinners God commends;
Makes his enemies his friends.
2. Jesus knows me, this I love.
He will take me up above.
So my hope is when I die,
He will take me up on high.
It can be sung to "Jesus Loves Me," should anyone want to do so.
