I am working on a series to study the people of the stories surrounding Jesus' crucifixion for Wednesday night Bible studies. I wonder if any of you would add other questions to try to answer about each one of them. Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.

March 28: "Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus"

QUESTIONS FOR EACH STUDY

1. Who is this person?

2. What do we actually know about this person?

3. How does this person figure into the story of Christ's death and resurrection?

4. What is the significance of his/her/their actions?

5. Why is this person important for the church of today?

6. What one thing should we take with us from this story?

The English teacher in me would want to do a compare and contrast of Annas, Caiphas and Pilate, and Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus. I don't know that there's enough material in the text to get into detail, but the first three would be an interesting comparison.
