We once had him speak to a statewide BSU conf. Don't recall details, but I wasn't entirely comfortable with his theology. He has, no doubt, matured some since then. It must have been 12-15 years ago. He was a hot item making the rounds of student events at the time.

What I do clearly recall was that he had agreed to stick around after his message to interact with students, but when he found out we didn't have his honorarium check in hand back stage, he got mad and left immediately. The agreement we had when we booked him was that his check would be mailed afterwards. Maybe his agent didn't pass that word along. It left a sour taste in the mouths of our staff, and I don't think he has been back. I hope he's matured in that area as well.

Makes it hard to have a discussion about a moral issue with any of the non-Bible-believing folks out there.
