Baylor: Back on Track, or More Controversy?

There's been a lot to deal with at Baylor, with the sexual assault scandal and the departure of Ken Starr. It looks like the BGCT no longer has any real influence with its board. Most of my Texas friends who are considering a Baptist college for their kids are looking at places like East Texas Baptist University, Mary Hardin-Baylor and Houston Baptist University. I don't know if the athletic department's problems are an influence, the closed-door attitude of the board in recent years, or simply the pricetag, which is quite high.

If the board has shifted away from a Baptist influence, I wonder how that will affect Truett Seminary. I'm not sure how that relationship works, or where they fit in under the regents.
